PROJECT NORTHGATE

PROJECT NORTHGATE was our client’s first home together as newlyweds. They bought this fixer-upper with the daunting task of completely gutting the main floor in order to update the design and make it work for their soon-to-be-growing family.

When we came into the picture, we were able to present them with a brand new layout for their ground floor, which meant flipping the kitchen and dining rooms in order to make the space more functional, spacious, and open concept.

The dream was a “modern farmhouse” style with white shaker cabinets, an island that would be perfect for entertaining, a farmhouse sink, and wood accents. We’ve also incorporated gold accents and a blue island for a pop of colour.

The new dining room comfortably has room to host their friends and family, without being far away from the kitchen! On the second floor, we completely changed the primary bedroom by turning a two-piece powder room into a 4-piece ensuite! Fortunately for our clients, the bedroom could afford to lose some space, so we took space from the bedroom to completely change the layout and add a shower, double sinks, AND his and her closets. We had so much fun rethinking this home for our clients!
